JVC's GZ-MG505 hard drive based camcorder offers the buyer solid performance. With triple CCD technology, a 30GB hard drive, five megapixel still imag...

Good quality video, Easy to use, Small

Poor quality still images, Short battery life, No viewfinder

A great little camcorder only let down by poor quality still images and below par battery life.

3CCD has yet to prove it's worth the premium. If you want a hard-disker, go for one of the cheaper Everio models

Don't buy this camera..This camera ruined my Holiday. This is a useless camera.

30GB hard ; Compact design

Video qaulity not that great compared to the Sony/canon's model ; There is no Image Stabilization and when you film while walking, the video will make you sick when watch it on a gaint LCD ; Still Picture look really bad even though they say it's 5 MP...

JVC Everio GZ-MG505

I like the overall look at and feel, but I am not impressed with the batteries.

Light. Easy to use. High quality still photos. Quite good video

Batteries. I just bought the biggest battery (something like 4.5 hours) and its size in comparison to the camera is ridiculous, however, the battery supplied with the camera simply has too short a life (something like 45min max.)

JVC Everio GZ-MG505

I have never used a Camcorder before. One of my criteria was high quality Video and minimum to no hassle in changing storage media. I was particularly interested in the Panasonic GS500 and the Everio GZ-MG505.

HDD, light weighted, easy to use, high quality video

Still camera – average quality, can use only JVC batteries
