Panasonic SDR-H80-K digital video camcorder

A Panasonic camcorder with 70x optical zoom and 60GB hard drive.

70x optical zoom lens, 60GB inbuilt memory, good value for money

Picture quality could be a bit better, rubbish Web mode

The Panasonic SDR-H80 is an excellent hard disk-based camcorder with plenty of user-friendly features. If you're in the market for an affordable standard-def camcorder, this model will not disappoint.

Panasonic SDR-H80

The Panasonic SDR-H80 has the zoom power of a telescope and offers plenty of storage in a compact body, but the video results aren't nearly as thrilling.

Full manual controls ; 60GB hard drive ; 70x optical zoom with stabilisation

Mediocre video quality ; USB and power input are located behind the battery

The zoom range offered by the Panasonic SDR-H80 is incredible given the price, as is the amount of storage. You can shoot video of the moon and stars, as well as capture nosebleeds in all their glory at sporting events. If capturing those things is all...

Panasonic SDR-H80

I had one lent to me for a couple of days and the image quality was very average. I did some research and found that the CCD is a tiny 1/8" which is why it offers alot of zoom becasue it compromises on picture quality. Go for a camcorder with a 1/6"...

This is a great little lightweight camera with the best optical zoom around for a standrad definition video camera. It is exactly the same as the cheaper SDR-S26 which doesn't have the 60GB HDD. Check out the zoom clarity on Youtube as there are demos...

Great clear 70x optical zoom. Great hand shaking OIS technology minimises wobbly, shakey pictures. Easy to use menus. Lightweight and meets all specs from Panasonic website. Good little unit for the price and also has 60GB HDD and SD card slot for...

NOT a high definition picture but if you want an HD picture pay $2000 and get one. Still photos are 0.5 megapixels which is very poor. Low light isn't great for this video but the apperture can be manually adjusted to 1.8 speed which lightens up the...
