Makes good coffee

This machine makes a good cup of coffee, but the carafe is hard to clean as the lid does not come away. Machine stays on for only 20 minutes so there is little point in making a large jug unless you are drinking it straight away. There are very few...

Element Failure

Purchased in November 2016. Element failed in January 2018. Just over one year's use. Can't be repaired so I wouldn't recommend this product. Very disappointing.

Not build to last unfortunately.

You might think giving a product one star is a bit harsh. Especially since we really enjoyed this coffee machine. The coffees were excellent. However, we live in a throwaway society and a big part to blame is manufacturers just not making things to...

Simple and effective

Bought this coffee machine specifically because of the front filling water tank. It works really well and is easy to fill with both coffee and water without having to pull the machine out from under the cupboards. Although the features in this machine...

Good coffee maker ... I like that it has no clock!

Compact machine with a neat feature... water is poured in by swinging open the filter and pouring into a channel next to the filter. This means it can be on a work surface under a kitchen cupboard and used without having to pull the machine forward....

This replaces my old coffee machine from John Lewis which lasted 9 years. While some aspects of the design I are much better than what I had, there is one problem. The hot hub that should keeps the coffee hot doesn't stay hot hence the coffee gets cold...

There is a design problem with 2 out of the 3 machines I have bought

I am now on machine number 3 and have decided not to return it this time. The design problem does not affect the quality of the coffee (which is good) -it is the hinge where the filter holder meets the main coffee machine structure. It is not even (the...

A no-nonsense coffee maker

I have owned this model before and it lasted well given the demands placed on it ! The only reason I needed a replacement was that I had worn it out over four years of solid service and the heating element let go (the usual demise of the coffee maker)....

Good filter coffee maker

Very easy and quick to make a lovely cup of filter coffee. Easy to clean and easy to dispose of the coffee grinds as they are contained in a filter paper. If the jug lid was removable, it would make it easier to dry. I had to purchase this product...
