Beats Studio 3

Beats Studio 3 review: these wireless noise-cancelling headphones are very good if you're an Apple user. For everyone else, they're ordinary.

Solid construction ; Comfortable fit ; Excellent connectivity (with Apple) ; Great battery life (with Apple) ; Effective noise cancellation

W1 battery/connection boost only for Apple ; Lower-mids could do with more separation

Pretty good… for Apple users.

Beats Studio3 Wireless review

When you've got a good thing going, why rock the boat?

The Beats Studio3 Wireless offers improved sound quality, noise canceling and battery life from its predecessor in the same sturdy design. Apple's W1 chip makes pairing with Apple devices dead simple. Performs well as a headset for making cell-phone...

Design is the same as previous model's. Does not fold flat and carrying case is somewhat bulky.

Beats has taken a very good wireless noise-canceling headphone and significantly increased its performance.

Beats Studio 3 Wireless review: great for Apple users, mediocre for everyone else

The Beats Studio 3 are the most prominent example to date of a pair of headphones that is dependent on the ecosystem it's in to perform at its best.

Satisfying bass thump ; Collapsible design ; Comfortable, cozy pads ; Flawless operation with Apple devices

Battery life and Bluetooth suffer when not connected to Apple devices ; Sound lacks refinement, vocals lack fullness ; Competitors in same price bracket have more premium build ; MicroUSB is an anachronism, especially in Apple ecosystem

If you happen to use an Android phone or a bunch of Windows PCs, the proposition becomes much trickier. Beats wins on practically none of the major parameters of comfort, design, or performance. It’s decent in all, but without the W1 augmentation, it’s...

Beats Studio3 Wireless

The Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones combine quality Bluetooth audio and above-average noise cancellation.

Rich, crisp sound signature with a focus on high-mid definition. Wireless audio and active noise cancellation. NC can be disabled to save battery life. Apple W1 chip makes pairing with iOS devices even more simple.

Expensive. No passive listening mode. Adaptive aspect of NC is not impressive.

The Beats Studio3 Wireless is a solid, balanced pair of headphones that will likely please those looking for more balance and clarity than anything else. The noise cancellation is better than average, and the easy pairing with iOS gear is a nice plus....

Beats Studio3 Wireless review

Amazing active noise cancelling, same stand-out styling

Excellent noise cancelling ; Incredible battery life ; Apple users get great connectivity

The best tech reserved for Apple devices ; Not booming, but still bassy ; Bold looks not to all tastes

Improved noise cancelling makes this the best pair of over-ear cans for iPhone owners - and they’re pretty damn good for the rest of us too

Beats Studio 3 Wireless review: Smart sounding, ultra long-lasting headphones

The Beats Studio 3 Wireless might not suit the audiophile, but for everyone else, they're very easy to recommend. Especially iPhone users.

Ridiculously long battery life ; Very enjoyable sound quality and comfortable design ; Great ease-of-use for Apple users thanks to W1 chip ; Lots of bass

Pauses music when notifications come through on Apple Watch ; Plastic design might not suit everyone ; Lots of bass

The Beats Studio 3 Wireless might not suit the audiophile, but for everyone else these over-ear cans are very easy to recommend. Especially for iPhone users, thanks to the W1 chip's easy pairing and cross-device ease of use.

Beats Studio 3 wireless noise-cancelling headphones review

Great functionality let down by so-so sound

Great wireless performance ; Solid sound ; Top battery life

Soggy mids ; Don’t quite deliver the sub-bass power you may want

Beats W1 chip means that the functionality of its headphones continue to impress. Battery life is good, connecting them to your phone is simple and straightforward, and build-quality is solid. Even their noise-cancellation is decent, if not...

Beats Studio3 Wireless review: Eliminating the noise

Beats, the Apple-owned lineup of audio hardware, has produced what might be their finest headphones to date. The Studio3 Wireless are (as you may have guessed by now) wireless, have noice cancellation and the Beats styling and sound profile many have...

Pure ANC cleans up noises very well ; W1 made pairing experience easy for iOS users ; Fast-charging

Short battery life with Pure ANC enabled ; Still uses Micro-USB

Two years ago, the argument for and against Beats was cultural. It was more status symbol than really solid headphone. Athletes, celebrities and neighborhood show-offs draped them around their necks like jewelry. To many, the sound they produced paled...

Beats Studio3 Wireless review: A worthy Bose QuietComfort 35 contender?

Beats' Studio 3 Wireless are easy to pair with Apple devices, but other headphones offer superior sound quality

Seamless Bluetooth pairing ; Long-lasting battery life ; Excellent build quality

Noise cancellation isn't as effective as the QuietComfort 35's ; Sound quality could be better, for the price

For everyone else, the decision is pretty easy. Go for the Bose QuietComfort 35: they sound better and deliver more effective noise cancellation.

Beats Studio3 Wireless review: Can my mind be changed?

There are a lot of assumptions and preconceived notions when it comes to Beats headphones. This is the first time I've used Beats since the Monster days. Can the Beats Studio3 Wireless change my old opinions? Find out inside!

Clean subtle design ; Not the sound of the Beats of old ; Comfortable ; Solid build quality ; ANC works well ; Nice hard shell case included ; W1 chip and iOS integration is seamless ; Bluetooth reception is stellar

Sound leans heavier to the bass side may not be for everyone ; Clamping pressure is tight, may not set well with some ; Would have like to seen USB-C for charging ; Fingerprint magnet accents

Alright. The new Beats are nothing like the old Beats, that’s for certain. I actually enjoyed all types of music with these headphones and I could even tolerate the bassy soundstage. Apple has really put some thought into tuning these headphones with...
