DJ Hero

A great addition to the rhythm game family. The music game genre isn't quite what it used to be. The barrage of plastic guitars and bulky drum kits is likely...

Great controller ; Outstanding tracks ; Simplistic design ; Challenging and addictive

Music certainly acquired taste ; DLC prices feel steep

DJ Hero 2

In the primitive yesteryear of 2009, humble developer FreeStyleGames went beyond downloadable content for Guitar Hero and set to work on their brainchild:?DJ Hero was born. ?It was a ton of fun to play between the soundtrack, innovative peripheral, and...

DJ Hero 2 takes the logical next step for a music simulator by improving and developing the formula for another successful and enjoyable game

DJ Hero 2

Following Activision's recent lacklustre Guitar Hero they bring us DJ Hero 2, a follow-up to last year's impressive but pricy game for wannabe DJ's.

DJ Hero 2 Review

Where it's at.

Fantastic music, freestyle sections give control over mix, great battle modes, cleaner interface

Some menu clunkiness, no practice mode, singing a mix has limited appeal

DJ Hero 2 (Wii) Review

We've detected you're running Internet Explorer 6. While Vooks will run in the browser it may not look as best it can. IE6 is an outdated, insecure browser and follows no web standards. We recommend upgrading to either IE8 or using a better and more...

If you decided against the first game [like many seem to do], DJ Hero 2 has ironed out some of the original’s flaws and is well worth a look.

Review: DJ Hero 2

Activison has cashed in on many music rhythm games over the years. But too much of anything can be a bad thing. After multiple releases of Guitar Hero and Rock Band, rocking out with fake instruments just isn't that cool anymore.

The theme for this year's iteration seems to be creativity. The original DJ Hero was a little restrictive with what you could create, so to rectify that, there's a whole whack of ways you can begin freestyling this time around. Tracks now have areas...

It's great that you can pick up a microphone and sing along, but it sure isn't easy. Since songs have been remixed and chopped up, the person holding the mic will need to have mad skills to keep up. But I guess that's where part of the laughs and fun...

DJ Hero 2

If you're looking for a great leap forwards, look elsewhere. But the fun remains the same.

While Rock Band 3 arrived with a significantly improved interface, DJ Hero’s rudimentary front end and near-total lack of customization options is difficult to understand. (You can’t even give your DJ a unique name.) But just as beat-matching isn’t in...

DJ Hero 2

DJ Hero 2 is happy with the beautiful, simple thrill of flashy, lightning-fast button presses in time with some fantastic music.

Like the original, there's a very genuine thrill at working your way through the tracklist and experiencing the way the game cuts and scratches the bespoke mix. Because a little star power never hurt anybody, joining FreeStyleGames' considerable...

DJ Hero 2 (X360) Review

The virtual DJ simulator returns with more freestyle freedom and now lets vocalists sing beside the DJs.

Coming in from the success of DJ Hero, FreeStyle Games tries out a few new things with DJ Hero 2. Aside from the top-notch music mash-ups, FSG is now letting players add their personal touch to the mixes and even letting vocalists into the act.

DJ Hero 2

A mixed bag?

Top-notch set list ; Freestyle elements are a revelation ; Hero series' best multiplayer in years

Empire needs more freedom ; Singing feels out of place

A brilliant tracklist, excellent multiplayer modes and Freestyle elements are a hit, but single-player could still be improved.
