Other M is a strong departure from previous Metroid games, with fantastic combat and exciting bosses that make this another great entry in the series.

Excellent combat ; Boss fights are varied and challenging ; Controls are both unique and responsive ; Environments are good looking ; Searching for hidden items is rewarding

Being unable to skip cutscenes lead to uneven pacing ; Low-resolution textures

Jae puts on his green cellophane visor and his old pvc pipe around his arm to assume the position of Samus in Nintendo's latest Metroid title. Someone forgot to tell Jae Samus is a girl. Or did they?

It's got that classic Metroid feel ; Nice looking cinematics

First Person Shooting is a stand still ; Voice. Acting. Is. Bad ; More Samus Bold and the Beautiful, less Samus Stargate ; Getting permission to use your abilities

I can’t help but feel that this should’ve been the gap between Super Metroid and the Prime series. Combining parts of 2D platforming with first person shooting is a nice way to pay respects to all the previous titles but it's one I feel is unnecessary....
