Simultaneously records audio while writing, excellent recording quality and volume, easy to use, third-party app store, pencasts

Thicker and larger than a regular pen, cap is easily lost, software isn't the most intuitive

If you regularly take notes, the Livescribe Echo smartpen is almost a must-buy. Excellent recording capabilities, ease of use and an app store that will only grow make it a wise investment.

Amazon Echo Spot smart speaker review - all the power of Alexa and now with a display

Amazon has been busy releasing its new range of Echo speakers and it's at it again with the launch of its latest creation – the Echo Spot – which includes a small circular screen so you can see as well as hear the information. The orb-shaped device is...

Compact design, display, ideal for desk, kitchen or bedside table, even more smart home integration through the screen, video calling.

Livescribe Echo Smartpen

You're at a uni lecture or a business meeting. Someone is speaking and you're scribbling like mad. All the while, you hope the notes you're scratching out bear a reasonable resemblance to what's being said so you can study them later. Livescribe's...

Heavier and larger than a typical pen; lecturers may not want lectures recorded

The Livescribe Echo Smartpen is an excellent tool for capturing lecture or meeting audio and linking it to the notes you take. While the pen is a bit hefty, especially for smaller hands, the Echo Smartpen is a worthwhile addition to the tools you use...

A friend had shown me their Livescribe pen - they swore by it. Given I take lots of notes in meetings I decided to get one. I found a few online retailers that had them discounted but I couldn't really learn anything about the product - I'd been told...

It's a pen - easy to use; It helps me participate more in meetings as I can rely on the audio recording vs me trying to write notes

The pen is a bit fat, but I'm used to it now.
