It's the most powerful console you can buy. But is that enough?

It's undoubtedly a powerful console, but the audience for the Xbox One X is razor thin.

The Xbox One X is a powerful step-up console that supports 4K, HDR and offers improved visuals and framerates for certain games. It can play all Xbox One games, some 360 and original Xbox games, and it ships with a 1TB drive.

At $500, it's the most expensive game console right now. The list of console-exclusive titles generally falls short of its direct competition, the PS4 Pro. Not every game will receive 4K or HDR enhancements.

Xbox One X lays a credible claim to the title of most powerful game console ever, but it has an uphill battle for your gaming dollar, especially if you already own an original Xbox One.

Microsoft Xbox One

The Xbox One, Microsoft's current-generation console, has seen a user interface upgrade and the addition of limited backward compatibility, and it's still at the top of its game.

New interface is intuitive and accessible. Powerful hardware. Incorporates live television with OneGuide, HDMI passthrough, and USB tuner supports. Limited Xbox 360 backward compatibility.

Kinect integration and voice commands have been de-emphasized to the point of almost being completely dropped. Current backward compatibility list is very small.

Conclusions If you want a pure game system, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 are in a dead heat. As a media streamer , though, especially if you subscribe to cable or satellite service, the Xbox One is a better bet. The soft abandonment of Kinect...

Microsoft Xbox review: Microsoft Xbox

Microsoft Xbox

Best under-the-hood specs; built-in broadband adapter; 8GB hard drive for music and saved-game storage; high-resolution display support.

Big and bulky; separate kit required to unlock DVD-viewing capability; no progressive-scan DVD playback.

The Xbox is the most versatile console and perfectly complements a home-theater system.

Microsoft Xbox One X review

Microsoft's latest console is a powerhouse, but does it belong in your house?

UHD Blu-ray playability ; One X enhanced games ; Packed with power

Boring design ; Needs better exclusives

A monster of a machine that can bump your PS4 off its perch

Review: Microsoft Xbox One X

In a way, the Xbox One X is a time machine. It is built for an ultra-HD future, while enhancing current games available today. It is also bringing gamers back in time with the ability to play older Xbox games without missing a beat.

Rise of the Tomb Raider - Meer spektakel, minder verhaal

Mooi ; Veel afwisseling ; Makkelijk spullen maken

Matig verhaal ; Meer schieten, minder sluipen ; Expeditions overbodig

Microsoft Xbox One X review | LetsGoDigital

De Xbox One X is de krachtigste, maar tegelijkertijd ook de duurste game console die momenteel verkrijgbaar is. Is deze spelcomputer zijn geld waard?

Microsoft Xbox One X (Test)
